Eucharistic Adoration

The custom of spending an hour with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament arose from the desire of devout souls to give an affirmative answer to the sorrowful question of the Savior in Gethsemane, "Could ye not watch with me one hour?"

No special form of prayer has ever been prescribed for this exercise, and the time is spent in quiet conversation with Jesus, saying the litanies, hymns, readings, and other acts of devotion.

At St. Joseph Adoration is observed the first Saturday of each month from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

At St. Mark's, on the third Saturday of each month Adoration is observed from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
